MDLand Stays Compliant to Support the New Worker’s Compensation Form
New York, NY – MDLand has successfully met the July 1st deadline in releasing the first version of the conversion of the Workers’ Compensation Board C-4 and C-4.2 forms to the CMS-1500 form with pending validations. In staying compliant, MDLand looks to support and do its part in the Workers’ Compensation Board’s conversion of the Doctor’s Initial Report (Forms C-4) and the Doctor’s Progress Report (Forms C-4.2) to the CMS-1500 form. With the conversion, MDLand seeks to further streamline the electronic medical record and medical billing process and reduce the paperwork requirements currently in the workers’ compensation system. MDLand looks to increase health care provider participation in the workers' compensation system and improve injured workers' access to timely, quality medical care.
The Workers’ Compensation Board has transitioned to using the Form CMS-1500 form. The transition and change come as Providers have indicated that the unique paperwork requirements currently in the workers' compensation system are time consuming to complete. As stated by the Workers’ Compensation Board, “To reduce the administrative burden and increase provider participation, the Board will consolidate and eliminate certain medical billing forms and convert to the CMS-1500 form, the universal claim form used by medical providers to bill the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as well as health insurers.”
Built by physicians, for physicians, MDLand handles everything from electronic health record, scheduling, practice management, population health management, telemedicine, remote patient monitoring and billing in one comprehensive solution. The cloud-based platform supports the value-baed payment programs and newer concepts of population health management and digital health in making it possible to manage patients more effectively anytime and anywhere, even more relevant today with the COVID-19 pandemic.
