MDLand Announces the Launch of the CoCM Module for Behavioral Health Integration into a Primary Care Setting
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released new codes and guideline information on Behavioral Health Integration Services with the goal to address physician understanding and better meet provider needs regarding behavioral health.
In supporting CMS’s new guidelines for behavioral health integration, MDLand, a leading provider of healthcare technology, introduced the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) module within their iClinic® EHR which integrates primary care and behavioral health to help physicians treat a patient holistically. MDLand Automates and Simplifies Public Health Reporting and Research Data Transfer through Interoperability Pilot, in Partnership with AHRQ, DOH, CDC and Westat
New York, NY – MDLand partnered with Westat, a contractor for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), on the Making Electronic Data More Available for Research and Public Health (MedMorph) pilot for the Hepatitis C use case. Other key partners included the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYCDOHMH), the recipient of the case reports, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the sponsor of the pilot. MDLand has been awarded the 21st Century Cures Act Certification
MDLand has achieved the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-Health IT) 2015 Edition Cures Update Health IT certification, which goes into effect in 2023. This includes the latest interoperability standards needed to support compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act information-sharing requirements.
Most importantly for practices and providers, the Cures Act introduces new interoperability and data sharing requirements. These new rules are intended to ensure that physicians use technology to offer and exchange electronic health information with patients efficiently and securely as well as offer patients their health data in situations where that data is available to use, exchange, and access.
